Six days in and this is what I am observing about myself.
There are moments and hours when I feel really, really low. Not from any particular fear or thought or occurrence, but more the gradual result of isolation and weighty thoughts over time.
There are other moments and days when I feel really, really peaceful and tapped into an inner contentment. Most days are a mix of both.
Where I have found the most joy in the last six days is in creating things in the kitchen. This has served to extend some food resources and exhaust others.
Here are some of our beautiful creations:

The middle fell out of the banana bread when I was transferring it to the cooling rack. It still looks and tastes amazing.

This hard, yellow blob was meant to be mozzarella cheese. Good thing there are lots of tasty things that can be made from whey.

Kitchen sink cookies!!! I highly recommend these. You put in anything that you think tastes good. This batch included chocolate chips, M&Ms, pretzels, pink shredded coconut, and little pieces of caramel.

After making cookies Aubrey decided she also wanted to make bubble mixture. I was tired so she made it by herself and took it outside to play with. She brought this bubble to the window to show me.
